UNIVERSIDAD Y MODA.
on line.

Fashion is evolving faster and faster. Until recently the designers were who decided what was going into fashion. Today customers are who direct the course of trends and ultimately the course of consumption. So the key to success lies in understanding the most effective media for advertising campaigns. The Master in Fashion Marketing and Communication at UNED addresses a clear and accessible concepts around fashion, marketing, communication and social networking.
Currently it is open the enrollement period for the Master in
Fashion Marketing and Communication of the National University of Distance
Education. This Master has a duration of two years and one of its biggest
advantages is the kind of teaching method used. The distance learning
methodology is the most suitable option for most people who wish to pursue
graduate studies. The key elements that make this type of study are primarily:
teaching materials, teaching platform and the student-teacher relationship.
Not taught classes and this can mark a personalized learning rate
for each student. The student establishes communication with the teachers, so
as to clarify concepts and doubts are resolved in a fluent and continuing way.
The student gets personal attention from each teacher during the duration of
the Master. The place of residence or time availability it´s not a problem.
Also it should be noted that the approach of the Master, is eminently
practical, it is pretended that students acquire the knowledge and key concepts
through study and practical exercises.
There are very few programs that address a clear and accessible
concepts that revolve around fashion, marketing, communication and social
networking. These issues are of great interest to the educational community and
it´s application, has a great future in the professional field. The world of
fashion is a sector with very specific characteristics, clothing and
accessories serve to meet social and emotional needs. We integrate in a social
group or another and set us apart from other people.
Jóse Luis Calvo, Director of the Master commented in these words
the importance of the fashion industry: "..... the spirit of this Masters
in Fashion Marketing and Communication is as follow: fashion is an industry
whose distinguishing characteristic that
sells brands and products in order to serve to express our identity, to show
who we are, how we look and what groups we belong. For this reason, the goal of
anyone who wants to develop their career in the field of marketing and
communication fashion that it´s intended to place their brands and products in
this market so specific, it has to be to reach the minds and hearts of
consumer, conquer it and make it an inconditional of the brand. "
Fashion as a business, produces a lot of income for textiles
bussines and has undergone many changes over the years. The production points
have changed and the logistic methods. Even the aesthetic direction of the product
itself has changed. Nowadays the clients
themselves are the ones who really decide what will be the trends, that will
produce the fashion collections season after season. This change related on the
information that the consumer manages and the personality of the costumer
himself. The sources of information that they had today are not the same as
they had a few years before. Internet
has been a great change in the dissemination and communication of the products
Currently, customers have all the information regarding the
products and the opinion of other consumers about them. Thanks to the emergence
and proliferation of social networks in internet, this exchange of information it
is possible. Social networking sites have brought a revolution in
communications brand/ customer (driven by the Internet and social networks).
The analysis of social networks enables marketing campaigns adapted to
Internet. Today Internet advertising is an important part of the total budget
allocated to firms advertising for their products.
The firm Burberry is a fashion house that shares with his followers,
backstage details and fashion shows. The last event occurred in Picadilly
Circus, where the firm issued his catwalk show live to all his followers and
through its Internet site. Also spends more than 60% of their budget on
marketing initiatives to increase their online presence. We also meet designers
like Oscar de la Renta, who has made social networks such as Istagram, the
platform of disseminating for their designs. Currently de la Renta has become
the first fashion designer to present his latest collection Autumn / Winter
across the Istagram platform. As we can see, Internet is influencing a lot the
fashion world.
The Master aims to explain and describe the characteristics of the
fashion world and the revolution that has led to the emergence of social
networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Tuenti ... in marketing.
As a summary we could say that the student will learn all the
details that revolve around fashion-social networks and acquire the knowledge
to create a marketing and communication project.
